Juice isles: Just as healthy as the candy isles!

It has gotten to the point that a good majority of americans have become so naive and lazy that they no longer really understand or look at what is being put into our food and beverages. Or possibly it is because we do not think that there is any other option for us out there. Do you remember squeezing your own orange juice? Grapefruit juice? Do you still squeeze your own juice or use a juicer? If you do, that is a great option, but if you happen to have two kids, two dogs, a significant other and a job that has you working 10 hours a day in a different part of town, then how do you have the time to genuinely get the nutrients that your body needs?

You will not get it from fast food, even if it is Subway. One of the best options for you is to buy fresh produce and locally grown/baked/cooked/raised food. The other option is to truly do your research on what you are eating, what your are getting out of it nutritionally and fuel wise, and how much it costs.then take this information and search out companies that specialize in bringing you only the best of the best. These companies are out there.

For example, if you want a juice that is NOT full of artificial sugar and water, then why do we all buy Minute Maid? Have you looked at the labels on minute maid. Coca Cola owns Minute Maid. Do you think that Coca Cola has any interest in YOUR HEALTH? NO! All that Coca-Cola is worried about is how many products that they can get out to as many people as possible. This means that they will use any means and any marketing possible to sway you into thinking that they are the specialty company of the product that they serve. But, how naive are we as americans, or maybe just ill informed.

What is the trend right now? Health and wellness.right? So if any company wants to stay up with the competition they have to do a few things. First they have to produce a product that is in the boom markethealth(right now). Secondly, they have to distribute the product, which for a majority of all of the monster companies is through a super market(because they want to target the masses), so they have to make the prices competitive, which in turn lowers the quality of the goods in the products, forces them to add more water and more sugar. Then these products show up on our shelves and they say stuff like 100 % juice from concentrate and Antioxidants and heart healthetc. and because we know that these things are good for us, we buy them.IN MASSES.AND THEY ARE NOT GOOD FOR US. So then the waterfall continues and we get sicker and sicker, but of course we dont ever look at anything long term, so we act like these sugar waters and foods with additives wont hurt us until magically we turn 60 years old and we have a minor heart attack, cancer, diabetes, then we are stuck trying to reverse the effects.

This process really is unsatisfactory, but who takes it upon themselves to provide alternatives, to go against the grain and tell the truth? There are people and there are companies!

These people and companies believe in producing products that are the best for the world as approaching it with the idea that they are the best in the world, but you can go ahead and say it they are the best companies in the world for what ever segment of the market they are in. These companies take the time to do the science and to specialize so that the health of their clients is their number one priority. How do you find them and how do you really know if they work? You have to reach out and study, not just overlook or judge based off of the different approach to distribution that they take. You HAVE to research and ask questions and find people with testimonials. If you do your due diligence then you can be healthier and enjoy really quality products with great feel, taste and results. Dare I say, you can even start to reverse your aging process! YES!

Really? That seems like a lot of work doesnt it? Well, how important is your health and how much time, money, research, anguish, pain and suffering will it take when you have to pull yourself or your family out of a hospital bed because you or they are sick. Come on. Or maybe you were unfortunate to have an illness in your family or yourself, which does and will sadly happen. What are you going to do to keep it from coming back?

Laziness is the root of a lot of illnesses, dont be caught with the status quo. Spend your time and money on things that truly matter and maybe someday you will spread the word.

Life in the fast lane can really take its toll on your health and your life. Not only does the speed that we live life seem cause us to miss important conversations, scenery and events, but it can ultimately lead to sickness and ill health.

There are two types of rest that will be covered briefly today with a few lists on how to incorporate more into your life. One type of rest is the rest that all of us need and a majority of us crave, hence the emphasis most people have on the weekend. The other type of rest is the added benefit of rest during a training cycle and how it can actually take your performance to a different level if done correctly!

Dont overdo..Always do your best but dont overdo. When you overdo, you deplete your body and go against yourself, and it will take you longer to accomplish your goal.

Americans have this tendency to overdoDont we? The extra piece of meat or extra three pieces of cheesecake after dinner, too much alcohol, too many drugs, too many material goods, but the biggest thing that we overdo with is our work. Chasing the all mighty dollar has become more important than our health. WHAT? WHY? For different reasons of course, but remember that it is our health, our body that allows us to travel on this journeyit should have some priority.

To maintain a healthy cell count and allow your body and mind to function correctly it is important to sleep half of the amount of hours that you were awake in a given day.a two to one ratio. On top of that it is important to get to sleep earlier and wake earlier.with the sun. It is just the way that our bodies have been created. Everything is connected, meaning the earth, the sun and you! Ever heard of a sun salutation? Not to mention, a sunrise can be very soothing, just like a sunset.

How to incorporate more rest into your busy lifestyle:

1. Prepare for the next day: Make your lunch or kids lunch the night earlier, so that you can sleep fully with out stress and wake up with less to do.

2. Eat dinner at a regular hour: Not only is it unhealthy for your digestive system to eat late, but it will also keep you up later and keep you from getting a quality nights sleep.

3. Find a place to turn it all off. Nap/meditate/kick your heals up for 10-15 minutes in the middle of the day. Come onwith all the time we spend on facebook or watching the tube, this is not hard.

4. Read a book: Take a little time and focus on reading a good book. One that you enjoy! This will calm your mind and relax your body.

5. Schedule your appointments a little further apart from each other in the day, but closer to each other in location.

6. Seek out a job or opportunity where you can enjoy the lifestyle that you have with out all the headaches. Change is GOOD!

~More rest does not have to be eyes closed, more rest is anything you can do to lover the amount of stress in your life.~

O.K. So I am sure that there are more!! Do you have some ideas? Please let us know below!

Accompanied with more rest in your daily life, there are a good portion of us, and there should be more!!!!wink wink, that are training for better fitness or even towards a race. Including exercise in your daily life will enhance your ability to perform at a higher level every single day. Exercise to the brain actually has the same components that taking morphine has. The receptors within your mind grab a hold of the endorphins that are created to give you a High. A lot of people call it being high on life! Or being in the zone. Whatever it is, it will make you feel great!

Guess what? Just like any drug or feeling that comes from a drug, we can get addicted to exercise and how it makes us feel. We can also get caught up in the driving force of our exercise, meaning that a goal has been set and you feel like you have to train every single day, with out rest to get to the point where you can complete the race or satisfy the accomplishment.

Every work out plan, either for a race or for overall longevity needs to incorperate a day of rest. In fact, incorperating a day or two of rest in your program a week, if done correctly, will bring you back stronger and fitter that if you had worked out. Why? Because your muscle fibers in your body and if your mind.need to recover. If they are constantly working out, then they have no room to breath, they have no room to replace and replenish what they lost, and instead of moving forward, you WILL move backwards in training. Injuries will come from this and so will a lot of anguish.

So, Here is a list of ways to make your training program really work for you using rest as a catalyst:

1. Take one day off every 6-7 days of training: I mean take it off completely. Dont mesmerize your mind our your body with your training. Constantly thinking about it will cause stress too. Try reading a love story or going to the movies, do something to take your mind and body completely off of it. Dont even talk about it to others.

2. Use supplements high in antioxidants: If you are living correctly you should do this every day, so on your day off, double up on these.

3. Drink even More water: This will help you sleep and wake up more alert. Water fuels our body, do not forget.

4. Take a yoga class. This you can do when you are not on a day off and still get a great workout. If you take yoga on a day off, look for a YIN class, which is a lot slower and focuses on opening up your hips and body.

6. Dont splurge beyond: Some diets and programs tell you to have a splurge day. I say it is cool to do a little bit of splurging, but how serious are you about your health? Are you going to eat a double cheeseburger with chili and fries once a week for the rest of your lifethat is 52 crappy meals in a year, A seventh of all of your days. Splurge a little, sure, congratulate yourself on hard work, but dont get to out of the routine, as tomorrow will be a rough day!

Do you have any other added ways to get more rest into your daily life or exercise program? Please list below!
