I’ve been sitting at 19 pounds lost for a few days now. While on this liquid diet, weight loss comes quickly the first few weeks, then it slows down to the traditional 1-3 pounds a week. I’m still adding in one meal a day – usually vegetables with a protein…but I leave on vacation with my son today.
That means I’ll be looking at restaurant menus 7 days in a row, 3x a day, and won’t have my shakes handy. What I’ve learned and can take with me, is to keep portions small, keep my calories in check, and to rely on fruits, vegetables and lean proteins.
I’ll check in when I return and be honest if I gained or lost. I’m nervous, but it will be okay. I’m going to take it one meal at a time, one day at a time, and on return, I’ll be back to a full liquid diet again. When it comes t a liquid weight loss diet, your answers are in front of you with your shakes, but it’s not just about losing weight, you need to keep it off. This is a good test for me to see what I’ve learned these last 6+ weeks.
Since I’ll be in Disney, it means a ton of walking, which will benefit me greatly. I’ll also be scheduling in a couple of runs around the resorts lake – so that I stay on pattern with what I’ve been doing at home.
